Name: John Peter Basie Date: January 17th, 1923 - June 12th, 2009 Obituary: BASIE, John Peter went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday June 12. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; their four Children, Joyce, Jack, Jim and Joanne and their spouses; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was an inspiration to all, and will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel on Monday June 15 at 3:0pm. In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
